As-builts for renovation: what level of detail do you actually need?

For renovation and fit-out work, the as-built model is the starting point for everything. But asking for "everything" gets expensive fast.

Architects: what do you ask the scanning or modelling team for? Walls, openings and levels only? Ceilings and soffits? Joinery and built-ins? Where has a missing detail come back to bite you?
